sir,
I have the honour to acknowledge with thanks the letter from the Department of yesterday's date, and note that a candi- date is required to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Miss A.L.H.Richards from the Nursing Staff of the Hong Kong Government Hospitals.
I am desired by the Committee to say that the matter is receiving attention, and that they hope shortly to recommend to the Secretary of State a candidate suitable for appointment, on the terms specified in the paper of particulars transmitted by the Department.
It has also been noted that the candidate selected will be required to leave England about the end of June.
I am,
Sir,
Your obedient servant,
M.E. Dalrymple thing
